Who writes this crazy stuff?

I’m an engineer by trade, and an adventurer in spirit.  I enjoy researching the past, and envisioning the future.  Sure, the 21st century is an enjoyable, albeit interesting, time to be alive.  But there's much to be learned from our ancestors, and conveyed to our offspring.  I'm intrigued by what factors drive human activity, and what elements may change as our society evolves.
